New Orleans Saints protective handle Nick Fairley will play against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday days after startlingly losing his mom, Paula Rodgers. She was 51.Rodgers passed away on Wednesday morning in Mobile, Ala., deserting four kids and six grandchildren. Fairley missed practice this week to be with his family, however he'll be on the field Sunday since he trusts his mom would have needed him to play.
"He's going to play for her," Fairley's operator Brian Overstreet told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
